Michael Rooker's portrayal of Merle Dixon—the volatile redneck with a soft-spot for his younger brother, Daryl (Norman Reedus)—left a lasting impression upon fans of The Walking Dead. Even though he was killed off in Season 3, some fans have hoped to see him make a reappearance in a flashback or dream sequence—like he did in Season 2.

On Satuday, at Wizard World Cleveland Comic Con, Rooker was asked during his 45-minute panel ("Michael Rooker vs. The Audience") if there was any chance Merle might make another appearance on AMC's hit television series. "No," the 60-year-old actor replied (via cleveland.com). He then jokingly added, "They can't afford me."

At one point he appeared to imply that he clashed with other actors on the set of "The Walking Dead."

A member of the crowd asked him how well he got along with other cast members.

"In real life?" he asked, and then made a noise that sounded suspiciously like "bleh."

He then smiled and added, "Very well."

He did not elaborate.

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9PM ET on AMC.
