Former University of Georgia linebacker Chase Vasser has landed a role on The Walking Dead, according to a tweet from the college football player turned actor. Back on April 3, Vasser tweeted, "Just got word from my agent that I landed a role for SUITS next season. Also have audition for The Walking Dead! #blessed #killingmyself." Earlier today, Vasser confirmed that he had indeed landed The Walking Dead role. Vasser tweeted, "It's Official! Tune in on Oct 13th on AMC for The Walking Dead! #cannibaltwist." Vasser followed the announcement up by tweeting, "Bad timing to say I've never watch an episode of The Walking Dead. Gotta Catch Up ASAP!" Of course, October 13th was the season premiere date of The Walking Dead in 2013, but the date falls on a Monday in 2014. It's likely Vasser was meaning to indicate that he's on the season premiere, which the air date hasn't been officially announced for yet. Vasser won't be the first former UGA football player to appear on the show. IronE Singleton played T-Dog on the series, and Hines Ward appeared as a zombie on the series. It's unknown what role Vasser will be playing, but maybe the hashtag #cannibaltwist is a clue. Could he be playing one of the residents of Terminus?
