The Walking Dead Next To Die

When The Walking Dead returns to AMC tonight, there will be more death. In various interviews, both producers and cast members have indicated to expect a couple more deaths involving regular characters on the show in the remainder of season three. Which characters will be killed off? We've compiled a list of likely suspects to be the next cast members to meet the grim reaper. Be warned that spoilers both for the TV series and the comic follow. 5. Axel – All the other prisoners are now dead, so Axel is the only one left. In one of the AMC previews for the remainder of season three, Carol is shown hiding behind Axel, who is lying motionless on the ground. And even it if turns out that Axel was just taking a nap during the midst of a gun battle, the bullet that is shown ripping into his back likely finishes him. It's a pretty safe bet that Axel won't be around for season four. 4. Carol – Producer Greg Nicotero let it slip out that in the original draft of the script for "The Killer Within" episode that Carol was going to die instead of T-Dog. If the writers/producers have already thought about killing off a character once, then odds are they won't have a problem writing her death for a second time. 3. Baby Judith – Showrunner Glen Mazzara once claimed that all the writers wanted to kill the baby, and he was the only one keeping her alive. Of course, AMC recently announced a new showrunner for The Walking Dead, and Glen Mazzara is leaving after season three. If Glen was the only one keeping the baby alive, then things don't look too rosy for baby Judith. 2. Andrea – Andrea has made a series of unpopular choices on the show, so her character is often the subject of criticism from fans. However, it's been hinted that Andrea might overcome her past choices and find redemption in the second half of season three. It would not be surprising if Andrea is being set up to die a hero's death. 1. Glenn – Viewers would probably not be overly surprised to see Axel, Carol, Andrea or baby Judith get killed off, and one thing The Walking Dead likes to do is shock people. Who could the producers kill off to surprise viewers? Well, in the comic book series, when Robert Kirkman wanted to offer a shocker for his 100th issue, Glenn wound up getting beaten to death with a baseball bat. Since Glenn is now dead in the comics, could producers be planning to follow suit in the TV series?
