The Walking Dead: Who Is Gregory?

As The Walking Dead ventures down the path discovered in The Next World, Rick's group will be encountering several new characters, meaning both new friends and new foes.

We've already met Jesus and we know Negan is looming in the distance, but what about Gregory? Who is Gregory?

Gregory is a new character on The Walking Dead played by 24 alum Xander Berkeley. Anything beyond that is spoiler territory, so hop off the train here if you want to remain spoiler free with the new character!

Gregory is the leader of the Hilltop community which Jesus hails from. Though the community is a safe place and becomes an ally to the group at the Alexandria Safe-Zone, Gregory can be a bit slimy and isn't exactly a clear cut friend.

The insecure and cowardly power hungry leader is always a bit uncomfortable with Rick's ability to lead and kill so impressively. Down the line (way down the line), Maggie ends up emerging as a leader in the Hilltop community and Gregory isn't okay with this, so he elects to poison her in an attempt to get his power back. It doesn't work though and Jesus is there to see his attempt, which results in Gregory's hanging in front of the very community he used to lead.
