Norman Reedus Saturday Night Live

Last night, Saturday Night Live did their first ever skit poking fun at The Walking Dead, and it got us thinking. What would be better than a Saturday Night Live skit about The Walking Dead? The answer is a whole episode of Saturday Night Live hosted by a cast member of The Walking Dead. And which Walking Dead cast member do we think should host SNL? Our choice would be Norman Reedus, and here's why. Now, we know Norman Reedus isn't a comedian by trade, but he seems to have displayed a pretty good sense of humor at many of his public appearances. He's also one of the breakout stars of The Walking Dead with a large fan base, who would all tune in to support him on SNL. Now, here's the kicker. It turns out that Norman Reedus is a huge fan of Saturday Night Live and lists it as one of his favorite shows. Reedus recently told Metro, "This is the funniest show ever. Growing up in the US, it was the show everybody watched. It's good now but it was best when it had John Belushi as the Samurai Chef. He didn't need any lines to be hilarious, he'd just chop the s*** out of stuff. It cut me up." Last night, after Saturday Night Live ran their Walking Dead skit, Norman Reedus even tweeted that it was his happiest day ever, along with a screen capture showing his character Daryl Dixon in the skit. Well, if seeing his character on SNL was Norman Reedus' happiest day ever, imagine how happy he would be to host. It also looks like some Walking Dead fans have already started to rally behind the idea of Norman Reedus hosting SNL. Remember when fans launched a Facebook campaign asking for Saturday Night Live producers to have Betty White host the show. It worked out pretty well for Betty White and SNL, as she wound up giving the show a large ratings boost when she hosted. Well, there are already Facebook pages and Twitter accounts set up pushing for Norman Reedus to host. Update: Here's a link to the original Norman Reedus on SNL Facebook group.
