Tensions are high in the Alexandria Safe-Zone going into The Walking Dead's season 5 finale this Sunday. While there's a big problem between Rick and his group of survivors meshing with the Alexandria community, there's also a lot of conflict among individual characters. One of those conflicts is between Nicholas and Glenn.

A couple weeks ago for us, but merely days ago for Glenn, he had no choice but to attend a front row viewing of Noah getting torn apart by a swarm of walkers. Noah's death came as a result of Alexandria native, Nicholas, being a coward and pushing his way out of the revolving door the three were trapped inside of, leaving the other side open enough for walkers to pry Noah from safety.

Afterwards, Glenn beat Nicholas until he was unconscious and still brought him back to the Safe-Zone, despite the cost of his actions. Even so, Nicholas blatantly lied to Deanna, leader of the Safe-Zone, saying that it was Glenn's fault that Aiden and Noah were killed. As viewers, we know that not to be true, just like Glenn.

Tensions continued to grow when Glenn confronted Nicholas and told him not leave the Safe-Zone or carry weapons anymore. In an interview with EW, Steven Yeun, who plays Glenn, provided a bit of insight as to what we can expect from Glenn in the season finale.

"I think we're going to see a ripple effect—see how this affects everybody," Yeun said, speaking about Rick's fit of rage in the community's streets. "In terms of Glenn, if we track back, you realize that he's kind of having a crisis of conscience at this point. He's wavering up and down between whether he wants to accept the world as it is and say that in order to function and live in this world you need to be on the far end of the spectrum and say, 'I'm going to do whatever it takes to survive, regardless of whether it is killing somebody or sacrificing somebody.' Or you're going to have a heart and try to lead people to a place where society and humanity still exist. And I think Glenn is wrestling with that. Even in episode 514, you see him wrestle with leaving Nicholas there. He doesn't necessarily want to take him with him—he's so angry—he realizes that's part of who he is: He doesn't leave people behind or tries not to at all costs. That's the thing he's warring with. We're going to see more of how that part of him is tested and where he lies on that spectrum and where he chooses to lie."

We've already seen Glenn (along with his fellow survivors) battle with what is right and what is wrong. Humanity has proven costly for this world in the past, though, so Glenn could be in trouble. If you don't believe me, ask Dale, Hershel or Tyreese. We know Nicholas has a gun but Glenn does not. Glenn is certainly a respectable, moral person who would probably take the high road in regards to killing another person if there seems to be a choice.

What do you think is in store for Glenn in the season 5 finale? Do you think his fate is in danger?

The Walking Dead's extended 90 minute season 5 finale airs this Sunday at 9 PM ET.
