The Wolverine: New Image Revealed In Editing Shot

Of all the superhero movies scheduled to be released this summer, The Wolverine is probably the movie that we know the least about. While rumors circulated that the first trailer for The Wolverine would be released this month, director James Mangold clarified that he was still editing and it would be end of March before a Wolverine trailer surfaced. Now, James Mangold has shown a picture of that editing process, which also reveals a brand new, but blurry image from The Wolverine. Last night, Mangold tweeted the image above along with the text, "Late night on @thewolverine. Here is my POV from a couch behind editor Mike McCusker. Last reel." If you zoom in on The Wolverine image on the screen, it appears to show Tao Okamoto as Mariko Yashida. She appears to be walking across a small bridge in a Japanese garden. We know it's not much, but with Wolverine news being scarce to come by, we'll take what we can get at this point. The Wolverine is set to open in theaters on July 26, 2013.
