Chris Carter, creator of The X-Files, joined Instagram today and posted an image from the set which appears to be the clapboard for the first episode of the revitalized series.
According to the clapboard, production started on the new season yesterday. Carter himself will direct the first new episode with Joel Ransom serving as director of photography. According to IMDb, the longtime series veteran will serve as DP on not only the first episode back but the entire miniseries.
