Thor: The Dark World Prelude Comic Hints Possible Guardians Of The Galaxy Connection

While there were lots of rumors about Iron Man 3 helping to introduce Guardians Of The Galaxy, it might actually be Thor: The Dark World that proves to have the true Guardians Of The Galaxy connection. Marvel Comics has released a one page preview of a Thor: The Dark World prelude comic book, which contains mention of Frost Giants, Troll Lords, the Badoon, and the Marauders. Of course, it's not surprising that Frost Giants and Troll Lords would be in a Thor movie, and it had already been revealed that the Marauders would be part of Thor: The Dark World. What is a little surprising is the inclusion of the alien race known as the Badoon. Before it was revealed that the alien race in The Avengers was the Chitauri, there was much speculation that it could be the Badoon. In the Thor The Dark World trailer, there appears to be some type of alien spaceship attacking London. Could it be the Badoon? Why is this relevant to the Guardians Of The Galaxy movie? Well, because in the comic books, the Badoon are frequent antagonists of the Guardians Of The Galaxy. In fact, in the current Guardians Of the Galaxy comic book, the Badoon are launching an attack on London. Could Thor: The Dark World be introducing the Badoon as a bridge to the Guardians Of The Galaxy movie? Thor The Dark World is set to be released at movie theaters in the United States on November 8, 2013.
