Titan Comics San Diego Comic-Con Plans Spotlight Doctor Who

Titan Comics has announced its plans for San Diego Comic-Con International, and the publisher is putting the spotlight on its new Doctor Who comics, Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor and Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor.

Titan Comics will have exclusive variants of these Doctor Who comics available at the Titan Comics (booth #5537), the BBC Shop (booth #4129) and Diamond (booth #2401) booths. As part of the Doctor Who Comics Day celebrations on Saturday July 26, they will host a Doctor Who comics panel, with the Tenth Doctor series creative team, writer Nick Abadzis and artist Elena Casagrande, and cover artist Alice X. Zhang. Plus Doctor Who comics editor Andrew James, who'll reveal exclusive secrets from the upcoming Tenth and Eleventh Doctor storylines and reveal never-before-seen art, including a first look at interior art from the upcoming Twelfth Doctor on-going series and get to watch an exclusive video surprise. The panel takes place July 26 at 3:00 p.m. in Room 23ABC.

Titan will also be giving away Titan Comics' 2014 Preview, a free 32-page sampler featuring the new comics line, including the new Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor ongoing series, starring Peter Capaldi's Doctor. Copies will be available at Titan Booth #5537.

Titan Comics will also be debuting several deluxe collections of action and adventure comics from around the world, including Elric Vol. 1: The Ruby Throne, a new comic adaptation of Michael Moorcock's seminal fantasy novels. The adaptation has received the full and enthusiastic endorsement of Moorcock himself, who has written an original introduction for this edition.

Other Titan titles debuting at SDCC include: retro science-fiction romp Doctor Grordbort Presents: Onslaught by WETA's Greg Broadmore; chilling thriller Void by super-star artist Sean Phillips (Fatale, Criminal and Marvel Zombies) and writer Herik Hanna (Bad Ass); End Of Days actioner The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse by Michael Mendheim and Eisner Award-wining artist Simon Bisley; swashbuckling medieval thriller The Third Testament by writer Xavier Dorison (The Spooks, Sanctum, The Prophet, Long John Silver) and artist Alex Alice (Siegfried); The Rage – a shocking horror about zombie children by Pierre Bosserie and Malo Kerfriden; grindhouse style adventure, Sally of The Wasteland #1 by writer Victor Gischler (The Punisher, Deadpool, Wolverine, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Spike) and artist Tazio Bettin; and a new instalment of the cult hit, Lenore by Roman Dirge.
