Twilight Actress Cast In Under the Dome

Actress Rachelle Lefevre, best known as the woman who was unceremoniously dumped for Bryce Dallas Howard in the middle of the Twilight Saga films, has signed on to play Julia, small-town reporter and recent transplant to the small town at the heart of Stephen King's Under the Dome in the book's upcoming CBS adaptation. Lefevre will face off against city councilman, used car dealer and generally honey-crusted nutbar Big Jim Rennie, who will be played by Dean Norris of Breaking Bad fame. Julia's character in the book was somewhat different, having been a lifelong resident of Chester Mills and kind of Big Jim's archenemy for some time. Those changes were apparently made by Y: The Last Man writer Brian K. Vaughan, who is adapting the piece for television. The series, which is slated for 12 episodes, could grow to an ongoing, depending on ratings.
