When Valiant Entertainment launched its new superhero universe in 2012, X-O Manowar was one of the four initial launch titles, alongside Bloodshot, Harbinger, and Archer & Armstrong. X-O Manowar is the only one of those launch titles to have never been relaunched. Venditti has written the entire run, which has followed Aric Dacia, a Visigoth who was abducted by the alien species called the Vine. Aric manages to escape captivity by donning the Vine’s sacred manowar armor and returned to Earth only to learn that centuries had passed while he was in captivity and that his people are gone.
Earlier this May, Valliant Entertainment held the Valiant Summit at the United Citizens Brigade theater in New York City. At the summit, Valiant announced a new wave of titles kicking off in 2016, including Faith, Generation Zero, Britannia, Bloodshot U.S.A., Harbinger Renegades, Savage, and Divinity III.
