Videos: Benedict Cumberbatch Films Marvel's Doctor Strange In New York City

Doctor Strange has taken Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) to Nepal and London, but today, the 39-year-old Sherlock star was in New York City filming an action sequence for the Marvel film.

Cumberbatch was spotted in his superhero wardrobe and sporting a bloodied and bruised face. The scenes featured him and his co-star Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) running and jumping on the streets of 5th Avenue.

Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.

Scott Derrickson is directing with a cast that includes Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, a.k.a. Night Nurse, Benedict Wong as Wong and Mads Mikkelsen will play an unspecified villain role.

Marvel's Dr. Strange will cast a spell on audiences November 4, 2016.
