Viz Media to Publish a Pokemon Cookbook
Viz Media is publishing a yummy treat for Pokemon fans this holiday season. In an interview with ICv2, Viz's senior editorial director Beth Kawasaki announced the company will release an English edition of The Pokemon Cookbook: Easy and Fun Recipes this winter. The cookbook is already available in Japan, and features recipes for Pikachu ramen, Meowth mashed potatoes, Psyduck omelets and other Pokemon-themed dishes. In the interview, Kawasaki said that Viz remains impressed by the Pokemon franchise. Viz publishes the American version of the Pokemon Adventures manga series, which began in 1999 and is still running today. As part of Pokemon's 20th anniversary, Viz is bringing Hidenori Kusaka and Satoshi Yamamoto, the creators of Pokemon Adventures, to San Diego Comic-Con.
The Pokemon Cookbook: Easy and Fun Recipes will be available on December 6th, just a few weeks before Christmas.
