After separating from the publisher of Gun Machine, Mulholland Books, earlier last week for reasons that Warren wouldn't go into other than "continuing issues" it looks like he found a home for his e-book Dead Pig Collector. Earlier yesterday he posted this on his site, WarrenEllis.com

"I am delighted to announce that my ebook single, DEAD PIG COLLECTOR, will now be published by Farrar, Straus & Giroux, under their FSG Originals imprint. I'm especially happy with this – which worked out mostly thanks to the kindness of editor Sean McDonald – because I'm in the middle of writing my non-fiction book SPIRIT TRACKS for the very same editor and imprint. Release date and other details to follow. Once again, all my gratitude to my book agent, Lydia Wills."

Previously Mulholland books said this of the separation and canceling Dead Pig Collector:

It is with regret that we announce that we're canceling our publication of Warren Ellis's digital short story, "Dead Pig Collector." We were and continue to be very excited about the story—it's brilliant, savage, and funny, and we hope you will have the opportunity to read it soon. However, we will not be coordinating its release with Mr. Ellis. To the readers who have already preordered "Dead Pig Collector," please accept our apologies for this cancellation. The vendor with which you placed your order will reverse the transaction. Keep an eye on Warren Ellis's many online platforms for developments about the story's release. We wish Mr. Ellis the best on his future projects.

There's no word when the book will be released by FSG - and as of writing this there wasn't a press release available from the publisher. Spirit Tracks, also being published by FSG "is the working title of a book based upon the talk I gave in Berlin last year, which appeared here, in its original waytoolong form, in twenty-nine parts."
