20th Century Fox has released the first clip from Sam Raimi and Gil Kenan's Poltergeist reboot of Tobe Hooper's 1982 horror film.

One of the most iconic scenes from the original Poltergeist is when Carol Anne (Heather O'Rourke) is awoken by a static-filled television set that is being used by an evil spirit to contact the angelic-looking girl. When the poltergeist(s) reaches out to her and then hovers of her sleeping family behind her she announces, "They're here."

In the reboot, the young girl's name is Madison Bowen and she is played by Kennedi Clements. This time her older brother observes the young girl having a conversation with the television. He witnesses the moment that the evil entity reaches out to his sister. Instead of "They're here," Madison announces, "They're coming."

Check out the new and the classic version of the scene in the clips below.

Legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi ("Spiderman," "Evil Dead", "The Grudge") and director Gil Kenan ("Monster House") contemporize the classic tale about a family whose suburban home is haunted by evil forces. When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and hold the youngest daughter captive, the family must come together to rescue her before she disappears forever.

The cast includes Sam Rockwell (Eric Bowen), Rosemarie DeWitt (Amy Bowen), Saxon Sharbino (Kendra Bowen), Kyle Catlett (Griffin Bowen), Jared Harris (Carrigan), Kennedi Clements (Madison Bowen)

Poltergeist arrives in theaters May 22, 2015, in 3D!
