It's the question on everyone's minds. Earlier this week, Disney/Lucasfilm revealed that the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer would be released online on Friday, November 28, 2014.

However, they left out one critical piece of information. They didn't tell fans exactly what time the trailer will be released. In a best case scenario, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer will be released at exactly 12 midnight EST. In fact, some fans think a countdown number that John Boyega posted on Instagram is teasing a midnight EST release for the trailer.

There is also some buzz on social media that they trailer will hit at midnight, but it will be midnight PST. Releasing the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer before it's released in theaters would make sense from the perspective of that it would ensure fans watched a high quality version of the trailer rather than a bootleg version from theaters.

Of course, it's also possible that Disney/Lucasfilm might want to preserve the actual debut of the trailer for theaters. If that turns out to be the case, then the trailer might arrive on iTunes shortly after the first showing in theaters.

A tweet by the President of the Walt Disney Company France seem to suggest that might be the case as his countdown pointed to a 9 AM EST release. Of course, it's unclear if his countdown is for the online release or just the theatrical release.

Update: Obviously the trailer did not hit in the early morning hours. There is still no official time, but most of the rumors peg the trailer as debuting between 9 AM EST and 10:30 AM EST. One popular theory has the release time being 10:15 AM EST. Of course, it could always wind up being later.
