With its long-running dramedy Psych set to end on Wednesday, USA Network announced yesterday that it has finally renewed White Collar for a sixth (and likely final) season. The move lends some stability to a network that is packed with new original series but which has recently lost not only Psych but another long-running, fan-favorite series in Burn NoticeWhite Collar, which stars Superman Unbound and Chuck star Matthew Bomer, has been picked up for a six-episode run that is expected to allow the series to wrap up loose ends. The network also announced ten-episode pickups for Complications from Burn Notice's Matt Nix and Rush from Warm Bodies's Jonathan Levine. "We are excited to usher in the next generation of USA dramas, alongside our signature returning originals that continue to attract a large and loyal fan base," said Chris McCumber, president of USA Network. "This year USA will be showcasing more hours of original programming than ever before, including an unprecedented 6 new series and 6 returning shows." USA dragged their feet on renewing White Collar in spite of the fact that the show ended on a cliffhanger and left hardcore fans of the series worried.
