In perfect timing for the week of Halloween, a Mission, Texas home that happens to be on Elm Street is having a bit of a Nightmare of its own. When the new owners went to start renovations, they found something fairly unexpected - a coffin in their new back yard.
"I'm like, 'A coffin? What do you mean a coffin?' I can't even explain it, it was huge, it had the handles. It was really rusted, and it had bags wrapped around it," Deedee Oliveira, the new owner told KGBT-TV about the discovery. "It's just a crazy story, because it's almost Halloween."
It might be less of a "Nightmare on Elm Street" and more of a "Pet Cemetary" though, as it turned out the bones inside were canine. A feline family grave was right next to the coffin as well.
"My new neighbor told me that the people that used to live here had a funeral for a pet, but it was for a cocker spaniel and those are pretty small dogs," said Oliveira.
