X-Men: Days of Future Past Director Tweets Plot Point From the Set

What happened in Paris? That's what fans are asking themselves after seeing today's dispatch from the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past, in which a Presidential speech appears to hint at a calamity in the French city spelling the start of a new and more challenging era for humanity (and probably their relationship with mutants). In the original storyline, it was the assassination of a U.S. politician that kicked everything into high gear; could director Bryan Singer, who tweeted out this image, be upping the ante with an all-out act of war?
