Universal has just released the first trailer for it's new horror movie, Ouija: Origin Of Evil.

It was never just a game warns the new trailer while inviting audiences for another round of terrifying exploration into the sinister world of evil spirits and demonic possession. As a follow up to 2014's sleeper box office hit, the new trailer for Ouija: Origin Of Evil teases a new story set in Los Angeles in 1965.

The storyline revolves around a widowed mother and her two daughters who run a scam involving bringing spirits back from the dead. They accidentally invite a genuine spirit into their home through a ouija board that takes over one of the daughters, forcing the family to confront the unthinkable evil head on.

Mike Flanagan directed the film from a screenplay he wrote with his Oculus and Before I Wake collaborator Jeff Howard. The movie is being produced by the likes of: Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Purge series), Hasbro's Brian Goldner (Transformers and G.I. Joe series), and Stephen Davis (Ouija).

The new movie starring Elizabeth Reaser (The Twilight Saga, The Good Wife), Annalise Basso (Oculus, The Red Road), Henry Thomas (E.T.), Lulu Wilson (Deliver Us From Evil), Lin Shaye (Insidious), and Doug Jones (Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth) comes to theaters on October 21 being distributed worldwide by Universal.

The 2014 Ouija film starred Olivia Cooke, Ana Coto, and Daren Kagasoff and brought in around $20 million on opening weekend, according to IMDB. Mike Flanagan and the producers hope to build upon the success of the first film with this all new installment to the terrifying thriller series.
