As of July 6, McDonald's has announced McGriddles will be added to the All Day Breakfast Menu. McDonald's already offers the Biscuit sandwich and the McMuffin sandwich at most locations, but breakfast fans will soon be able to enjoy yet another breakfast option at any time of the day.

The McGriddle is a breakfast sandwich made with maple-flavored cakes, and will be added to the all-day menu in September. The expansion comes by customer demand as McGriddles are the most requested item not already offered nationally, according to McDonald's spokeswoman Melissa Layton.
The all-day breakfast menu has already been a huge success for the fast food chain since launching last year. "Most recently, the company reported same-store sales increased 5.4% in the U.S. due to the popularity of all-day breakfast and the McPick 2 menu.
McGriddles were introduced by McDonald's in 2003. "In the 12 months after they first hit the market, sales of the breakfast sandwich accounted for about 40 percent of McDonald's same-store sales growth nationwide," according to Fox News.
Upon announcing that McGriddles would be coming to the all-day breakfast menu, McDonald's also mentioned in a statement, "In addition to expanding All Day Breakfast, other positive changes are underway. Last year McDonald's moved from margarine to real butter in its restaurant kitchens and also announced that it will fully transition to cage-free eggs for its nearly 16,000 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada over the next 9 years."
Be on the lookout for McGriddles coming to the All Day Breakfast menu at McDonald's in September.
