Justin Bieber Lookalike Toby Sheldon Died From Drug Overdose

Toby Sheldon, the man who spent $100,000 to look like "Love Yourself" singer Justin Bieber, died of a drug overdose. At the time of his death, Sheldon had Valium, Xanax and a variety of other substances in his system.

The autopsy report obtained by TheWrap indicates that the cause of death was multiple drug intoxication, and that the overdose was accidental. The tests concluded that in addition to Valium and Xanax, Sheldon had alcohol, codeine, morphine, and the sleep aid temazepam in his system.

His body was discovered in the North Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles on August 21 at a Motel 6 along Roscoe Boulevard. He had been reported missing more than three days before he was found. Sheldon's body was in a state of "moderate decomposition" when it was located, according to the coroner's report.

Paramedics responded to the room and found Strebel's partially decomposed body with maggots surrounding his head and neck. His arms were outstretched and he was found lying across the foot of the bed, according to the report.

The police reports of the incident neither suggested any foul play in his death nor signs of trauma. They did however find a syringe and a bottle of insulin at the scene.

Sheldon was a native of Nuremberg, Germany and came to the U.S. to pursue a career in songwriting. His real name is Tobias Strebel, and was featured on reality series "Botched" in 2014. On the E! plastic surgery show, Sheldon explained the inspiration behind making the decision to alter his appearance to look like Justin Bieber.

"What brought me to Bieber was the whole package: the full cheeks, the full temples, the bright open eyes, the full luscious lips, and spatial framing...[he's] just extraordinarily beautiful," Sheldon stated while on the show.

He died on August 21, 2015 and was 35 years old at the time.
