Disneyland's Haunted Mansion transforms once a year during the holiday season, with the theme for the popular attraction based on Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. The Haunted Mansion Holiday has taken place every year since 2001, and is always a mesmerizing spectacle. One of the most exciting events at the attraction is the gingerbread house that adorns the ballroom table, and this year just might have the most epic house ever!

Associate Art Director for Disney Parks, Tim Wollweber stated: "The whole structure has been cobbled and stitched together from other different gingerbread houses and treats. But it appears that sometime during the house's construction, a gingerbread ghoul was entombed! Apparently he's eager to sew himself up inside—much like another mansion graveyard ghoul you've probably seen."

This sounds a whole lot like Sally's house from The Nightmare Before Christmas! Turns out, this was the inspiration for the design. According to Oh My Disney, the gingerbread house will consist of: 200 pounds gingerbread, 200 pounds powdered sugar, 4 gallons of egg whites, 1 gallon lemon juice, 50 pounds fondant, and 1/3 pound glitter.

Other houses in the past have included: a house inspired by the medieval Iron maiden torture device with a Gingerbread man inside, a House of Cards built by spiders and gingerbread construction workers, and a Haunted Mansion that opens with monster teeth, according to Wikia.

Does this sound like a Disney attraction that you would want to visit during the holidays?
