American Idol Alum Brooke White Welcomes Her Second Child

Former American Idol contestant Brooke White and husband, Dave Ray, welcomed their second child, son Sonny John Ray, on Saturday, Sept. 3.

Happy Sunday!! Look who finally had a baby! We are so pleased to introduce you to our not so little- little man, Sonny John Ray. Pushed him out yesterday 9/3/16 at 7:08 pm at a whopping 9lbs 9oz and 22 in! He's alert and amazing and already giving us smiles. couldn't be more obsessed with our butterball! Can't wait for him to meet his big sister. So grateful! More details to come on his birth, but I gotta feed a hungry kid! 💙👶🙌

"Ahhh! He's here!! Our little man, Sonny John Ray, was born [Saturday] at 7:08 p.m. at a whopping 9lbs 9oz and 22 inches!" White told ET. "He's alert and amazing. We couldn't be more obsessed with our butterball! Can't wait for him to meet his big sister. So grateful!"

White, who competed on the seventh season of the singing competition, announced her pregnancy on Instagram in February. She posted a picture of her son's sonogram and talked about the challenges that come with getting pregnant via IVF.

"Meet our handsome little dude, due Sept. 2nd!," she captioned the picture. "It's hard to believe it's even real... Cause, WHEW, It's been a process. infertility is hard. IVF is downright crazy, I've been a hormonal mess for several months, but it's totally worth it, because it finally worked."

The couple also has a 4-year-old daughter, London.
