Dr. Leah Murphy will be heading back to Grey Sloan memorial. To reprise her role as the surgical resident from Seasons 9 and 10, actress Tessa Ferrer will be returning to hit ABC show Grey's Anatomy.

As most fans of the show will recall, Leah had a rocky romantic relationship with Arizona. Before enterting getting involved with Arizona, Ferrer's character first slept with Alex (Justin Chambers).

Most interestingly, series creator Shonda Rhimes confirmed that Arizona (played by Jessica Capshaw) will be getting involved in her first significant post-Callie romance this season, according to TVLine.

Also, Shonda Rhimes and Jessica Capshaw herself have given the fans a hint that the character would be introduced sooner rather than later.

"We're absolutely going to see it," Rhimes regarding Arizona's new love interest. "I'm very excited to introduce a love interest for her, and to get to tell a story with her that lets her be who she is, and to see who she is post the relationships that she's had."

"My sources are telling me that it's not going to be too far away," Capshaw said. "We had to wade through a little muck first. But I do feel that Arizona has certainly waited long enough."

In season 10, Ferrer was bumped up into a series regular role. However, her contract was not picked up for the eleventh season, according to Deadline.

Ferrer has also had a recurring role on FXX comedy You're the Worst and CBS' Extant. She also had a co-starring role in Shonda Rhimes' comedy pilot Toast.

This isn't the only big news to come from the cast of Grey's Anatomy recently. On Sunday afternoon, one of the show's most lovable cast members actually revealed that they are bisexual.

Grey's Anatomy airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Are you excited to see Tessa Ferrer return to Grey's Anatomy for Season 13 to reprise her role as Dr. Leah Murphy?
