In China, the world's second largest film market, the trailer hit 16 million views in 24 hours and was a trending topic on top social sites.
The Transformers franchise has been a top money-maker ever since the first film was released. The live-action films based on the popular Autobots from the 1980s Hasbro toy line has earned over 3.7 billion at the global box office with 4 previous films.
