It was a last minute decision, but BMW has earned the title of "2016's Best Troll."

A car thief in Seattle attempted to steal a BMW over the holiday weekend but the car manufacturer had a bag of tricks the theif was unprepared for. After finding the keys in a BMW 550i, the thief attempted to steal the car by driving off from a garage in it. When the owner returned to where they had left their car, they immediately reported the stolen car to police.

The police got in touch with BMW's corporate team who then used their security technologies to shut down the car and lock the theif inside.

Once the theif had no way out, the trolling began.

The BMW team played the terrifying sound of Rorshach in Zach Snyder's The Watchmen delivering the line, "I'm not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with me!" Troll level: 1000.

In case you need a reminder, Rorshach was locked up in the film and fellow inmates attempted to stab him with a shiv. Rorshach quickly disposed the man who attempted to kill him by using his metal tray and some steaming hot oil. As the man knelt before him screaming in pain, Rorshach delivered the line to the rest of the prison.

Rorshach is a vigilante with hardened beliefs in justice. There is no grey area for the character - criminals must be absolutely punished. In this case, he helped serve justice as he does in film and comics.

The thief gave up. The man is said to have fallen asleep inside of the car rather than fighting his way out of the locked vehicle. When the police showed up, they discovered and arrest him. The thief was also caught with a small amount of methamphetamine and was not only charged with theft but, also, drug possession charges.
