Part of what made 2014's Interstellar such a memorable film was its magnificent original score from iconic composer Hans Zimmer.

Zimmer, whose cinematic resume extends to Man of Steel, Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception, and The Dark Knight, is one of the best composers of our generation. The German-born musician was featured in the music video for The Buggles' iconic single "Video Killed the Radio Star" which helped launch a new wave of music and Zimmer's career.

Following his lead, YouTube user and musician Patrik Pietschmann is showcasing his music on video for the Internet to see. In this particular case, Pietschmann's rendition of Zimmer's iconic Interstellar theme has earned over 2.5 million views.

You can check out the impressive rendition in the video at the top of the page.

If you explore Pietschmann's YouTube channel, you will discover other impressive takes on iconic work from Zimmer and other composers. The Game of Thrones theme, Batman v. Superman's Beautiful Lie, Kung Fu Panda tracks and Inception's Time are all among songs Pietschmann has mastered.

Zimmer's next project is Rings, the next installment to The Ring franchise. He'll be channeling a horrifyingly good score as the film will aim to terrify its audience as the original film did in 2002.
