Home Alone and Home Alone 2 are now Christmas classics, but the older we get, we can't help but notice that Chris Columbus's 1990s kid fantasy adventure films were a bit on the unbelievable side.

Not to get too cynical, but if Home Alone were a scenario to occur in real life, those career criminals would've done unspeakably horrible things to little Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin), and his family would've come home to a much messier and tragic Christmas memory.

The flip side of that argument has also been that Home Alone's lack of realism stems from the cartoonish ways that Kevin is able to trap and torment would-be burglars Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern). Well, to that latter point, YouTuber BitMassive has created a series of videos that reflect give Kevin McCallister's Home Alone traps a very different, horror movie-style, spin.

The results, as they say, speak for themselves...
