A lot of people can say that there is one moment in their life that has changed them, whether it be for the better or for the worse. Kim Kardashian can certainly say that about her Paris Fashion Week robbery in October 2016. After the incident, Kardashian didn't seem the same at all, and even since she's tried getting back into the swing of things, she doesn't seem to be acting like her old self. So, let's take a look back.
After the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was tied up and robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room, she decided to take a step back from the limelight. That night she lost millions of dollars in jewelry and blamed the robbery on the fact that she continually posted photos on her Instagram page. As it turns out, her robbers did admit to studying her social media before robbing her. So, Kardashian stopped posting - which was a huge change of pace for the social media mogul.
She took three months off from social media. Since then, she has made her triumphant return to Instagram, posting mostly photos of her family and significantly few photos of herself. That is probably one of the biggest changes for the reality star - she isn't posting nearly as many selfies or paparazzi photos of herself rocking out her insane wardrobe or her magnificent jewels.
So, what does this mean for her fans and followers? Everyone is missing out on all of those show stopping, jaw dropping, eye- popping photos she would post. There have been little to no pictures of her pushing the limits in fashion. Nowadays, her sister Kylie has taken up that mantle.
But, one thing Kardashian didn't do during her social media hiatus was delete the old photos of herself on her Instagram page. Which means we can all look back at her best Instagram photos from her pre-robbery days - photos that will now be topped by only the best and most adorable photos of her kids.
Hopefully, now that time has passed, Kardashian can look back on the incident in October and confidently say that it has changed her for the better. If not, perhaps in time she can because it's always better to look on the bright side of experiences like that after the shock has worn off.
