Former WWE superstar CM Punk may not be appearing in the upcoming WWE Comics.

According to Caged Side Seats, the WWE has ordered its comic book licensee, Papercutz, to remove CM Punk from all future publications and printings. This would include the trade paperbacks collecting the first two story arcs of WWE Superstars which was written by WWE Hall of Famer and New York Times bestselling author, Mick Foley.

Punk departed from the WWE last June, citing ignored health problems among his reasons for leaving.

Last month the former WWE heavyweight champion announced he would be joining the UFC roster and is expected to make his debut MMA debut in the cage later this year.

While Punk may not be appearing in WWE Superstars, he will be making his Marvel Comics debut penning Thor Annual #1. The straight-edged superstar teams up with Eisner-award winning artist Rob Guillory for the issue which hits newsstands next month.
