The King of Strong Style has arrived!
One of the most highly-anticipated debuts in recent memory, Shinsuka Nakamura secured a pinfall victory over the recently returning Sami Zayn. Zayn, a former NXT Champion and contender for Kevin Owens' Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania, gave his all during the match, but failed to keep Nakamura down.
During an attempt of his between-the-turnbuckle DDT, Nakamura countered with his offensive and targeted kicks and kept Zayn just arms length of a win. Nakamura even powered out of a Blue Thunder Bomb, but wanted to aim for a submission victory, which Zayn nullified all too easily.
The bout ended with Nakamura landing a Kinshasa, which is a modified version of his famous Bomaye knee strike.
The two men showed mutual respect for one another after the match, embracing with a quick hug and handshake.
So for those uninitiated with Shinsuke Nakamura, what are your first impressions? And for long time fans of the King of Strong Style, do you think he still has it? Let us know in the comments below.0comments
