IFC Films has acquired to North American rights to Sky, which stars Diane Kruger and The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus.

Sky (which has nothing to do with Reedus' other film, Air) debuted at the Toronto Film Festival as director Fabienne Berthaud's first English-language feature film. The movie tells the story of a woman's lifelong wandering which turns into an intimate reawakening in foreign lands.

The acquisition of these rights likely means they will attempt to distribute the film in the U.S., where Norman Reedus is an absolute sensation following his success on The Walking Dead. In Sky, his character, Diego, is a charismatic yet solitary man whom Kruger's Romy encounters and will share an inconceivable but pure love with.

Sky opens in theaters in France in March 2016. No word on a U.S. release date has been revealed.
