The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal Cast In Sicario

Jon Bernthal, who played Shane on AMC's The Walking Dead, has been cast in the upcoming film Sicario, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Sicario is a thriller from Dennis Villeneuve. The story follows a law enforcement agent, played by Emily Blunt, who is partnered with a government agent, played by Benicio Del Toro, to lead a team of agents trying to hunt down a high-raking drug lord. Bernthal has been cast as a character named Ted in the film. It is the latest of several film roles Bernthal has signed on for, including roles in Me & Earl & the Dying Girl and a still unnamed project with Gerardo Naranjo. He most recently appeared in The Wolf of Wall Street and Grudge Match. Sicario is expected to release sometime in 2015.
