The Power Rangers family has grown considerably over the past few years, and it turns out a few Rangers have taken the music world by storm.
That includes one of the more recent additions, Naomi Scott. Scott played the part of Kimberly the Pink Ranger in the recent Power Rangers reboot, a role that was received quite well. Before she was Kimberly, Scott was already steeped in the world of music, and recently returned to the genre she loves with a new song and lyric video (via
The song is called Vows and is part of her upcoming EP by the same name. Scott stars in the video that finds her on a late night drive through the city. You can see Scott's face in the rearview mirror as the camera catches the city through the blue and red filters of her windshield.
As for the song itself, Vows revolves around someone dealing with an at times tumultuous relationship that both come back to due to the love that lies underneath.
"You'll be a punching bag for my thoughts, I'll be a mess laid out on the floor. You'll still be looking out for me. When my mind is a mess and my heart's not there, but I'll be coming back to you. Cos you smell like home and your love's still there," Scott sings.
The lyrics are set to a soothing beat that matches the somber tone this relationship crossroads, and you can view the video and hear the song in the clip above.
Scott is quite busy these days, as the actress is already hard at work on her anticipated new role of Jasmine in the live-action Aladdin project. She stars alongside Mena Massoud (Aladdin), Marwan Kenzari (Jafar), Will Smith (the Genie), Nasim Pedrad (Dalia), Billy Magnussen (Prince Anders), and David Negahban as the Sultan.
The biggest wild card in that film is director Guy Ritchie, who brings a unique flair to his films. Whether it will work with one of Disney's most beloved classics is unknown just yet, but it certainly won't fail for lack of a talented cast.
