Ever since Lucasfilm and Disney announced that they would be developing all-new live-action films in the Star Wars saga, including standalone films exploring famous characters and events, fans have been dying to see more adventures featuring Obi-Wan Kenobi. YouTube user Alex Luthor couldn't contain his excitement about the prospect of an Obi-Wan film and edited together a fake trailer for what the spinoff film could focus on, which you can see below.

Between The Phantom Menace and Revenge of the Sith, audiences have seen some of the most action-packed moments in Kenobi's life. Additionally, fans have seen plenty of Obi-Wan in some of the most tumultuous and dangerous points in his life thanks to his animated adventures in The Clone Wars.

Rather than tread familiar territory, the above fan trailer explores Obi-Wan's life in seclusion following his handing over of Luke and Leia to their new guardians.

The trailer above mostly compiles footage of Ewan McGregor from the prequel series, but also has lots of footage from the film Last Days in the Desert. In that film, the actor plays Jesus Christ and explores his time spent isolated in the desert, with his appearance and the environment making suitable substitutes for a bearded Kenobi and the harsh terrain of Tattooine.

Earlier this year, reports began to surface about meetings taking place at Lucasfilm about the possibility of an Obi-Wan spinoff. More speculation surfaced that claimed the film was in such advanced stages of development, it was even given the working title of "Joshua Tree."

If both of these reports are true, the title could refer to filming locations for the spinoff, placing the film in the arid climates of Death Valley National Park, where the Joshua Tree is known to grow. Scenes for both Star Wars and Return of the Jedi were filmed in this location, with the harsh terrain serving as an adequate substitute for Tattooine.

The next official installment in the saga, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, premieres in theaters December 15.
