'Star Wars:' Could This Rey Fan Theory Be a Deleted Scene From 'The Last Jedi'?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi has earned its fair share of criticisms - in some cases for some seemingly big plot holes. One of the bigger points that viewers have raised is the Batman-style way that Rey got off of Snoke's flagship after her battle against Snoke's forces and Kylo Ren.

As discussion and debate of The Last Jedi has gone on, many fans have raised an important observation: that Rey's departure from Snoke's ship logically included a crucial moment, which we never got to see:

The scene that must have happened in TLJ off screen and changes Rey's entire arc from StarWars

The question we have is this: Was the scene described above actually filmed? Does it exist somewhere as a deleted scene that we could eventually see in The Last Jedi Blu-ray?

It would be a pivotal scene for the Rey/Luke/Kylo storyline of The Last Jedi, by revealing how Rey's eyes are opened to the Luke's perspective, as she too must struggle with the true test between light and dark: personal choice. The whole "Would you kill Hitler if you knew he'd become Hitler?" aspect of The Last Jedi was one of the more interesting Jedi quandaries that we've seen in the franchise - made that more rich due to our knowledge of what happened to Anakin / Darth Vader.

There's also the possibility that Rey's moral dilemma moment could be saved for a flashback in Episode IX, as something she reveals to Kylo Ren, or something she ponders as part of her training. Either way, it's strange that it's not in the theatrical cut of The Last Jedi, as the gap in Rey's movements ended up being something of a distraction.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now in theaters.
