Carrie Fisher reprised the role of Leia in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, and the General of the rebellion was the powerhouse fans remember from the original trilogy.
It turns out there was more footage of Fisher in the role that didn't make it into the final theatrical cut, which is unfortunate since it's quintessential Fisher. Writer Daniel McFadin shared the clip on Twitter saying "I really wish this had stayed in #TheForceAwakens. Genuine #CarrieFisher."
In the clip, Leia tells one of her charges that she must go the senate and get the Republic to take action against the first order. When she asks if they will listen, Leia says "Not all the senators think I'm insane...or maybe they do. I don't care."

Carrie Fisher passed away at the age of 60 years old on December 27, but her legacy will continue to live on in millions of fans hearts around the world for years to come.
Star Wars: Episode VIII continues the "Skywalker Saga," as Lucasfilm calls it, making history as the first Star Wars film ever that will pick up directly where the previous one left off. The start of Episode VIII will show Rey coming up the worn out steps at the island world of Ahch-to, the legendary site of the first Jedi Temple that Luke Skywalker has placed himself under exile upon, reaching out to Luke with his (and his father's) old lightsaber. The story will also continue the tale of the younger generation like Poe Dameron, Finn the renegade stormtrooper, Kylo Ren (aka Ben Solo, Leia and Han's son who is trying his hardest to turn fully to the dark side), as well as show how longtime characters like Leia and Chewbacca move forward after Han's tragic death in The Force Awakens.0comments
