Juliana Harkavy has joined the cast of CW's Arrow.
Harkavy has nabbed the recurring role of Tina Boland, a detective formerly of Central City. The character is described as "brash yet tactful, tough, speaks her mind, and is not the easiest person to impress." Boland is definitely not a fan of vigilante's like Oliver Queen's Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) and his new team of recruits we've been following throughout Season 5: Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), Artemis (Madsion McLaughlin), Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and Ragman (Joe Dinicol).
The fifth season of Arrow has been more down to earth and gritty than recent years as the show has gone back to its earlier seasons' roots. Oliver has gone back to his more violent methods of crime prevention and punishment and started to kill again. His acts of murder, regardless of the reasoning, will almost certainly create a major conflict between Oliver and Boland.
Harkavy, who played Alisha - a former Army Reservist and member of Martinez/The Governor's hit squad - in a couple of episodes of AMC's The Walking Dead, has previously appeared in the DC TV universe. She had a guest spot on NBC's Constantine in 2014.
Harkavy is not the only Walking Dead alum to join the CW series. Earlier this year, Chad Coleman, who played Tyreese on the AMC show, debuted on Arrow as the villainous and brutal gangster Tobias Church.
Harkavy's other credits include Last Shift, Dolphin Tale, Day One, and If You Only Knew.
Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
