If you've ever wanted to bring The Walking Dead into the real world, AMC and Mountain Dew are now giving you the chance to live your dream.
The two companies have joined forces to create a new one of a kind Augmented Reality experience called "The Walking Dead Encounter". The augmented reality app will allow fans to bring zombie walkers into real world locations, and there will be plenty of Mountain Dew around as well.
"This is a meaningful first-of-its-kind partnership for 'The Walking Dead,' but most exciting of all is that the fans are at the center of it," said Scott Collins, president of advertising sales for AMC Networks. "With our partners at Mountain Dew, we've built something that includes extensive visibility for our series, closely aligned with their product, and the augmented reality app merges the real world, the world of the show and a popular beverage in an incredibly powerful and sharable way. This level of partnership and commitment would be notable for any television show, but that it is happening headed into the eighth season and 100th episode of 'The Walking Dead,' is remarkable and demonstrates the enduring appeal, urgency, and reach of this iconic series."
Fans can download the app now and start creating their own scenes to share on social media, but they can also expect to see plenty of Walking Dead characters like Rick Grimes, Michonne, and Daryl on 20oz, 12oz, and 12 pack cases of Mountain Dew, Diest Mountain Dew, and Mountain Dew Pitch Black.

The Walking Dead Encounter app can be downloaded on iOS and Android.
The Walking Dead returns for its eighth season on October 22, 2017.
