Morrissey is best known to comic book fans as The Governor from AMC’s The Walking Dead. As the one-eyed villain, Morrissey clashed with Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes through the third and fourth seasons of Robert Kirkman’s popular comic book adaptation.
Morrissey’s other notable television credits include The Driver, where he played Vince McKee, and Extant, where he played Tobias Sheperd. He has also starred in movies including Blitz and The Other Boleyn Girl. Recently he has been featured in the Starz drama The Missing as Sam.
Born in Liverpool, England, Morrissey turns 52 today. Happy Birthday, David Morrissey.
