Cooper Andrews Promises More Crossover In 'The Walking Dead' Season 8

The Walking Dead has become such an expansive show that bringing together its entire cast of characters feels like a crossover within itself. According to Jerry actor Cooper Andrews, Season 8 will be featuring a lot of them.

Andrews, who joined The Walking Dead in its seventh season as some comedic relief coming from the newly introduced Kingdom community, sat down with outside the Senoia, Georgia. The interview premiered on ComicBook NOW (which is available now on-demand). One exciting bit, however, was Andrews promising fans of The Walking Dead can expect to see more of Jerry, his King Ezekiel leader, and the Kingdom interacting with the Alexandrian and Hilltop communities on a regular basis.

"I mean it feels completely different now because Season 7 for us, all the Kingdom, we're kind of in our own world, doing our own thing," Andrews said. "Even during when we meet the Alexandrians and they come - sort of like, 'Oh! Welcome to our show! Yeah, we'll show you around.' You know and then this year it's like, 'Oh yeah, I forgot! Yeah, we're in The Walking Dead!' You know, so just getting to see - getting to meet with people I haven't got to work with yet and that - so it's different in that way."

More specifically, Andrews promises a lot more "teamwork" as the All Out War storyline is fulfilled. "Yeah, we're gonna see some teamwork," Andrews said. "I mean when it comes to war, you know, and people have to come together."

This, of course, is good new for fans of The Walking Dead who were frustrated by Season 7's choice to scatter the characters on a weekly basis. The crew of the show have also promised "bottle episodes" will be less common and more characters and stories will be told throughout the season.

Check out the full interview in the video above and watch Thursday's episode of ComicBook NOW for more from the set of The Walking Dead.

While the Kingdom will be interacting with Rick Grimes on a more regular basis, don't expect to see the characters of Fear the Walking Dead pop up for a more in-depth crossover.
