The Walking Dead's Lauren Cohan has lined up her next feature film gig, joining STX Entertainment's Mile 22.

Mile 22 is set to be an action film which will also star Mark Wahlberg, John Malkovich, Iko Uwais, and Ronda Rousey under the direction of Peter Berg. As The Walking Dead wraps production on its eighth season this week, Cohan is freed from her role the AMC series' Maggie Greene for Mile 22's production, which is set to begin in late November.

Cohan's cinematic resume continues to grow with this new role. In addition to a small part in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice with Walking Dead co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Cohan has appeared in The Boy, Death Race 2, and Van Wilder 2. More recently, Cohan played a part in the Tupac biopic All Eyez on Me.

According to THR's report, Mile 22 will tell "the story of an elite American intelligence officer who, when aided by a top-secret tactical command unit, tries to smuggle a mysterious police officer with sensitive information out of the country."

Director Berg is best known for his work on Lone Survivor and Deepwater Horizon, both of which also starred Wahlberg in lead roles.

A release date for Mile 22 has not yet been released.

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 pm ET on AMC. For complete coverage and insider info all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
