Following Sunday's midseason 7 premiere of The Walking Dead, Talking Dead will return for a recap of the episode hosted by Chris Hardwick.

Joining Hardwick to recap Episode 7x09 of The Walking Dead will Greg Nicotero and Khary Payton. Nicotero serves as executive producer of the AMC series and directed the midseason 7 premiere, in addition to two more upcoming episodes in the back half of the season.

Payton joined the cast of The Walking Dead in the show's seventh season as King Ezekiel, debuting in Episode 7x02 (The Well). Since his premiere episode, the King has been absent from the AMC series but is set to make his return in Sunday's new episode. Rick Grimes will be seeking aid from the Kingdom and King Ezekiel as his new plan is to take on Negan and the Saviors.

Episode 7x09 of The Walking Dead is called, "Rock in the Road." The vague description for the episode reads, "Rick is introduced to a new community." The community in reference is likely the Kingdom, however, many suspect it may be a slight tease of the group spying on Alexandria in the final moments of the midseason 7 finale.
