The Walking Dead Negan & Glenn 2-Pack Coming Soon from McFarlane Toys

McFarlane Toys, longtime manufacturers of The Walking Dead collectibles, will release a Negan and Glenn Deluxe Box action figure set this month. UPDATE: It's available to order now on Entertainment Earth.

The two pack, which just became available to order, depicts Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), as they appeared in the season 6 finale and the season 7 premiere, "Last Day on Earth" and "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be." As fans know, longtime survivor Glenn met his brutal end in the season 7 opener, with Negan using his signature weapon — his beloved barbwire-laced baseball bat, Lucille — to reduce Glenn's head to unrecognizable, bloody pulp.

"After Daryl lashed out and punched him in the face, Negan mercilessly took Lucille and executed Glenn for all to see," reads the official product description. "Negan's reaction served as a notice to the other survivors that such backlash would not be tolerated and that he would shut it down, reminding the group who was now in charge, leaving them in fear."

The Deluxe Box includes two fully posable 5-inch figures of Negan and Glenn from their iconic scene from Season 7 of AMC's The Walking Dead in window box packaging. Features include two scaled assault rifles, pistol, watch, knife and Lucille baseball bat. The included watch is presumably the pocket watch handed down to Glenn by his now deceased father-in-law, Hershel (Scott Wilson). Negan and Glenn are both covered in blood, the results of Negan having executed Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) only moments earlier.

The set depicts one of the goriest and most shocking moments of The Walking Dead, but don't expect a set allowing you the option to swap out Glenn's intact head with a "brain soup" variant: after its October 2016 debut, the episode was heavily criticized for its depiction of graphic violence.

The Parents Television Council, a conservative watchdog group, took issue with the "brutally explicit" zombie drama, calling the season 7 premiere "one of the most graphically violent shows" they've ever seen on television. The PTC's president, Tim Winter, advocated a rating "even more severe" than TV-MA, which is already the "R" of television. During a National Association of Television Program Executives conference earlier this year, The Walking Dead producer Gale Anne Hurd acknowledged the response to the graphic depiction of the murders resulted in adjustments to subsequent episodes that were still in production as of the premiere in late October.

"We were able to look at the feedback on the level of violence," Hurd said. "We did tone it down for episodes we were still filming for later on in the season." Hurd went on to defend the show's necessary use of violence, saying "this is not a show that is torture porn" and noting the filmmakers ensure they "don't cross that line."

The set is hot off the truck and available to order now for $29.99. The Walking Dead returns to AMC with its season 8 premiere, the series' 100th episode, on Sunday, October 22nd.
