'After the Dead' is Live Following 'The Walking Dead' Mid-Season 9 Finale

Following Sunday's new episode of The Walking Dead, ComicBook.com's After the Dead show will be live to recap the AMC series and preview what's coming with exclusive insider info.

On Sunday night, The Walking Dead will air its Mid-Season Nine finale, complete with a shocking cliffhanger moment in need of explanation. After the Dead will offer up insider information, having exclusive intel from showrunner Angela Kang and Paul "Jesus" Rovia actor Tom Payne. The second half of After the Dead will give fans the opportunity to call in and participate with the show live!

After the Dead has garned more than a quarter-million viewers in two individual episodes, first reaching the milestone following the Mid-Season Eight premiere and again with a live show from Georgia on November 4 following Episode 9x05. Through Season Nine's recap episodes, After the Dead has been watched by more than three-quarter million viewers. It is the most-watched recap show available on Facebook Live and YouTube, with over 100,000 viewers for every episode which has followed new episodes of The Walking Dead in Season Nine. Cast and crew members from the AMC show ranging from Greg Nicotero, Seth Gilliam, Pollyanna McIntosh, Ross Marquand, Josh McDermitt, Khary Payton, Katelyn Nacon and more have joined the show for live interviews since After the Dead launched during The Walking Dead's seventh season.

The first episode to top 100,000 views for Season Nine recaps aired on October 14, 2018. After the Dead has reached over 215,000 views on a single episode since. With Sunday night's episode, After the Dead is expected to reach 1 million views with its episodes following The Walking Dead Season Nine episodes.

The Walking Dead Episode 9x08 is titled, "Evolution." The official synopsis for "Evolution" reads, "A small rescue mission braves a dangerous herd in their hunt for a missing comrade, only to discover a surprising threat that could doom them all." It is directed by Michael Satrazemis with a script from David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.
