While Rick ventured around outside of the Alexandria walls, he and Aaron stumbled upon a trail to someone's estate. Of course, they followed it, unsure of what they would find -- disregarding signs which warned them to stay out.
As they approached a disappointing and somewhat confusing find, the two men of Alexandria came across a sign warning them to stay out...sort of. They read most of the sign aloud but it was packed with an odd message from an apparently grumpy homeowner.
My name is Leslie William Stanton and I am armed with a Ruger 10/22 (crack shot: can hit targets 70 yds+), ARS 157, (I s--- you not!), AK-47, grenades (try me) and several handguns and rifels of antiquity (collector/enthusiast). You are not smart to have not listened to the first sign. You have been warned. I will not hesitate to protect my home, my food, my supplies, my ammo...The only way that you have possibly read this far without being shot is if I am dead. Have at it, a--holes.
Of course, Rick and Aaron continued on after reading the sign as they weren't shot down where they stood, apparently indicating the former occupant of this land's death.
What the sign really says is, "Rick now has a bunch of guns that Negan doesn't know about if these guys can survive the zombie infested lake."
As for if they'll be able to dig everything up here -- hopefully we find out in the midseason 7 finale of The Walking Dead.
