It looks like Norman Reedus finally got his severed head, and he couldn't wait to share his coveted item from the set of The Walking Dead on his Instagram page.

It all stems from the Not Tomorrow Yet episode of Walking Dead from season six, which featured several zombified heads. Aside from one featuring the likeness of director Greg Nicotero, another severed head actually sported a resemblance to actor Johnny Depp.

"I think we had sculpted an emaciated version of a dummy head for something and we used Johnny Depp's head as a basis just for a clay sculpt," says Nicotero. "I think one of the funniest moments we've shot in the season is when the Savior sticks his hand inside the head and puppeteers it to start talking. I laughed so hard when we shot that scene."

Afterward, Reedus didn't waste any time putting a claim on them.

"Norman [Reedus] kept saying he wanted the heads when we were done shooting. I said we've got to wait until the picture is logged," Nicotero says.

That time has finally come, and Reedus shared a new image on his Instagram account showcasing the zombified likeness of Johnny Depp in his dressing room, right next to his mirror. Granted, that weird Pink Panther looking blow up doll tends to steal some of its thunder, but either way he's certainly not lacking in conversation starters.

The Walking Dead returns for its seventh season on Sunday, October 23rd.
