Just like that, eight weeks have gone by, and it's time for The Walking Dead to go on another hiatus. Tonight's episode, "How It's Gotta Be," is a 90-minute midseason finale, sending the series on a break until 2018.

Set and alarm, and maybe your DVR, because The Walking Dead's finale is coming quick. The episode is set to air at 9pm ET on AMC, just as it does every week. The length of the episode however, is what is set to change.

Usually, the series runs from 9pm-10pm, or a few minutes after. Tonight's finale won't end until 10:28pm ET, giving everyone almost 30 more minutes of action.

The episode picks up just about where last week left off: With a few rogue Alexandra survivors, led my Daryl, attacking the Sanctuary. Against Rick's initial plan, a truck was driven into the Sanctuary walls, and walkers are filling the building.

Meanwhile, Dwight and Eugene have been going back and forth with one another, trying to get the other to back down. Dwight wants Eugene to help him take out Negan, while Eugene wants to report Dwight. That storyline is sure to come to a head sooner rather than later.

Don't forget to tune in to "How It's Gotta Be," tonight at 9pm ET on AMC.
